Plastic Surgery Animation Library - Procedure Menu

Today Understand.com™ announced a new product upgrade that allows all Understand.com™ plastic surgery, orthopedic, and dermatology patient education libraries to work on the iPad and other tablet devices. The expansion will be available to all existing physician clients at no additional charge.

The expanded patient education libraries include hundreds of 3D medical animations that give patients a better understanding of their condition and what to expect if surgery is an option. The brief animations visualize simple yet thorough descriptions of complex healthcare procedures and include:

Orthopedic Procedures

  • Knee
  • Shoulder
  • Hip
  • Cartilage

Plastic Surgery

  • Breast Augmentation
  • Breast Reconstruction
  • Tummy Tuck
  • Nose Reshaping, etc

Dermatology Conditions

  • Acne
  • Psoriasis
  • Molluscum Contagiosum
  • Melasma, etc

“Updating and reformatting more than 100 medical animations was no small task, but our customers were requesting it and the iPad is the perfect platform for patient education,” said Darik Volpa, founder and CEO of Understand.com™. “Many of our clients have been severely impacted by the economy, and I am pleased that we continue to upgrade and expand our animations, as well as the platforms they work on for no additional fees.”
