  • Why do I need a separate iPad license?

    The iPad does not support Flash. The animations you license for your web site are all built in Flash, therefore will not play on an iPad. To combat this, we had to convert the animations into a format that would work on the iPad.

  • Are you saying that I can’t access the animations from my iPad without a separate license?

    Correct. If you try to access your animations from your iPad, you will see a broken link.

  • What about my patients that are accessing my web site from their iPad – will they see my animations?

    No, not unless you have an active iPad license.

  • Why do I need to pay extra for the iPad License?

    Converting the animations into a format that was compatible with the iPad took a lot of time and resources, therefore we need to charge an nominal fee.

  • What if my patients access my web site from their iPad – will my animations play?

    No, not unless you have an active iPad License. With an active iPad License, our servers will recognize when a request for your animations are coming from an iPad, and will send the iPad formatted animations to that user. This is the only way the animations will play properly.

  • Do I need to be connected to the internet to play the animations on my iPad?

    Yes, you need to be connected to the internet in order for the animations to play on your iPad. Our iPad license is a Web App - not a traditional app that you download to your iPad hard drive through the iTunes store. We designed it to be a web app for two reasons:
    • The animation files are so large that downloading them would not only take forever, but would take up a huge amount of space on your iPad.
    • Through the web app, we are able to dynamically add upgrades and updates to the content, without requiring the user to download the latest version through the iTunes store.
